Jack for Maricopa
Jack's Plan for Maricopa
Community Colleges
Our Maricopa Community Colleges, serving the West Valley, should be affordable, safe and focused on good jobs, and taxpayers deserve to know where every dollar goes. Here's what Jack will do on the college board.
4 years
of property tax increases from the college board
18 → 64
top district executive positions
1
new campus police officer position in 4 years
1992
the last time a new Maricopa community college opened
Low Taxes, Low Tuition
No new property taxes or raising tuition costs. The college board has raised property taxes four years in a row. Jack will cut bureaucracy first and make sure every dollar is spent wisely.
Safe Campuses
Jack led the charge to put School Police Officers in Surprise schools, and he's endorsed by the Maricopa Colleges Police Officers. He'll make sure our colleges have a fully staffed campus police force.
Job Training Built with West Valley Employers
Jack will push for trades, healthcare and public safety programs designed with the employers hiring in our backyard, including the new manufacturers coming to the West Valley.
Another West Valley College
The last new Maricopa community college opened in 1992, and only two of the ten colleges are in the West Valley. Jack will fight for a campus to serve the fast-growing Northwest Valley, so students can train close to home.
Open the Books
Taxpayers should be able to see how decisions are made, what is taught in classrooms, and where your money goes. Jack will push for for transparency on the college board and support hiring an independent auditor for the college district.
Bring Back Football the Right Way
Jack started at Mesa Community College on the football team. He supports bringing junior college football back with a real plan for the cost and no new taxes or student fees.
